NKK Switches Expands 3D CAD Library

New 3D models from NKK's full range of product lines include added pushbuttons, toggles, rockers and DIP rotary configurations.

NKK's worked with CADENAS PARTsolutions to expand its 3D CAD model library, which now includes the complete FR rotary DIP series, YB2pushbuttons and JW rockers. The library also features extensive additions to its S Series toggles that includes low, medium and high capacity switches.

According to a survey commissioned by CADENAS PARTsolutions LLC, 57 percent of design engineers will choose one supplier over another because they offer native CAD models. Engineers and designers expect manufacturers to supply models of their parts, and will specify from suppliers based on the availability of high-quality CAD models that integrate into their design.

The models are available in a variety of popular CAD file formats including CATIA®, I-DEAS®, Autodesk Inventor®, Pro/Engineer®, Creo®, SolidWorks®, Revit® and Unigraphics®, as well as universal file formats such as STEP, IGES, SAT and more.
