Ready for the green roof planning of the future with ZinCo and CADENAS

To ensure architects and planners a comfortable workflow for their construction projects, ZinCo GmbH now provides 3D BIM CAD models of its systems and products for roof greening in a 3D BIM CAD download portal based on CADENAS technology. At https://zinco.partcommunity.com, users can display ZinCo products as a preview, for example green roof systems, protection and storage mats as well as gravel retainers with a high level of development (LOD 350), including exact dimensions. Subsequently, architects and planners have the option to download free of charge the BIM data of ZinCo products in a generic presentation (generally LOD 200) in all common CAD formats. The BIM data can then be integrated directly into existing designs or planning in the resp. 2D or 3D CAD software. Additionally, there are data sheets on the 3D BIM CAD download portal of ZinCo systems and products in PDF format with information about material, dimensions, delivery units, etc.

Immense use of BIM

"BIM offers the potential in the future to increase project efficiency and quality," says ZinCo CEO Dieter Schenk. "The possibility of working on the same model with all those involved in the project makes the entire project coordination and communication easier for the planning offices. BIM will therefore be an important instrument in the future - not only for large complex projects."

As a worldwide leading company, ZinCo was one of the first pioneers and driving forces for extensive and intensive roof greening. ZinCo's research projects and innovative system developments inspire architects and sophisticated constructors for the holistic and sustainable planning of private building and large projects in public spaces.
