CADENAS‘ „parts4cad“ now completely integrated in Autodesk Fusion 360
What started as single app is now part of the biggest cloud based CAD solution for 3D modeling
At the end of 2014, CADENAS published its app „parts4cad“ for users of the cloud-based design and planning software Autodesk Fusion 360. At the beginning of this year the app was completely integrated into the standard packages of Autodesk Fusion 360. With the upcoming update at the end of January 2016, this feature will be available to all users.
By means of this feature, millions of 3D CAD models from over 400 certified manufacturer catalogs are available to engineers. The desired components can be configured individually and afterward integrated directly into the existing design in Autodesk Fusion 360. Thus “parts4cad“ is the first and only app within Autodesk Fusions 360 that provides 3D CAD model data from manufacturer catalogs.
Cloud-based design independent of time and place
Autodesk Fusion 360 is an all-encompassing cloud-based solution for 3D modeling and the first 3D CAD/CAM tool of its kind that comprises the complete product development process with a single cloud-based tool. Designers and engineers create their product designs in the cloud in 3D and work together with others internationally. The cloud technology behind Autodesk Fusion 360 makes it possible for the user to access with practically any mobile device or internet browser at any time, regardless of his location.
This is how it works:
There is already the menu item „parts4cad“ Autodesk Fusion 360
After clicking the menu item, the Autodesk Fusion 360 portal is started in the
browser, where required parts can be selected and configured.
The button „To Autodesk Fusion 360“ starts the transfer of the parts.
Soon after that the component shows up in the CAD solution Autodesk Fusion 360 and it can then be worked on.
