With a "Smart Catalog" using CADENAS eCATALOGsolutions software the process is simplified to a few clicks with a smart phone. Component manufacturers can link their catalog pages with live product details and CAD models utilizing QR codes, reducing an engineer's specifying process from hours to seconds.

Caster Concepts is establishing new offerings as part of their collaboration with CADENAS PARTsolutions. The two companies partnered to convert the Caster Concepts catalog of more than 20,000 standard off-the-shelf products into an easy-to-access online catalog with 2D drawings and 3D CAD models. Furthermore the Caster Concepts and CADENAS PARTsolutions succeeded in creating an online product configurator for “non-standard” products, enabling users to build their own custom caster or wheel based on predetermined parameters.

CADENAS was showing off the Strategic Parts Management PARTsolutions at the Siemens PLM World annual user conference. The software platform helps engineering teams better manage their standard and supplier parts, so they can spend more time on value-added design.

CADENAS GmbH today announced the launch of the new PARTcommunity for PTC®, offering one of the world’s largest online catalog of CAD models in native formats of PTC Creo® design software . The community portal gives mechanical design engineers instant access to configure and download millions of certified native 3D CAD models from over 400 industrial supplier catalogs, at no cost to the engineer.
