5.8.2.1.15.2.  Cip projects in directory

Similar to clipping catalogs [CIP catalog], this menu item is also used to compress data. This data can be transferred via download or transfer to (other) PARTsolutions installations. However, in this case, each project file *.prj belonging to the selected directory is clipped individually.

Dialog window: Clip projects in the directory [Cip projects in directory]

Dialog window: Clip projects in the directory [Cip projects in directory]

  • Menu area Directory:

Origin directory of the folder to be cipped (marked in the directory tree)

  • Include subordinate director [Include subdirectories] ies:

A folder may contain project files and/or other, subordinated folders. If you check this option, the project files of the subordinated folders will also cipped.

  • Target directory [Destination directory] menu area:

Destination directory of cipped project files.

  • Menu area CIP directory [Cip Directory]: *.prj files are assigned to the directory from which they were originally extracted by internal default when they are unzipped. If you want to unzip the files to a different directory, enter the corresponding (complete) path in the prefix [Prefix] field. Only if the option Use name of scanned subdirectory as CIP directory [Use name of scanned subdirectory as cip directory] is activated will all subordinate project files be "packed in the right place".

  • Settings menu area:

Contents [Content]: When a *.cip file is called up (double-click), the PARTdataManager is started and the project (component) is displayed. If you set project files [Project Files], the project is created in the PARTdataManager with all associated information. The Call parameters [Calling parameter] option, on the other hand, only creates a "key" that opens a part that must already be created.

Company key: The corresponding license (e.g. CNS2009*CATALOGS*CATALOG) must be entered in this field. You will receive the basic or catalog license together with the *.cnsldb file.
